Sketch of the week: Rural Devon

This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Joe Copp of Hilton Barnfield Architects. The sketch shows plans for a new dwelling on a village infill site in rural Devon. The project underwent a rigorous design and planning process to create a home that would best exploit the valuable garden space as an extension of the interior, while also mitigating the impact of new development on several neighbouring properties. The design is a natural evolution from an existing cluster of agricultural barns that currently occupy the site.
