This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Calderpeel Architects’ managing director Ewen Miller.

It was an idea for the International Architectural Treehouse Design Awards, the brief of which was to design a treehouse retreat for a busy, urban professional couple to relax in. The design takes inspiration from the lifecycle of pine cones and includes observation areas to enjoy the structure’s woodland surroundings.
