The Russell-Cooke construction law consultant on Xmas shopping, why he bottled out of getting a Mac, and the music of William Shatner

Graeme Roberts

What is your favourite website?

It has to be comeallwithin.co.uk – the unofficial Harlequins supporters’ site. I can lose hours on there in pointless debate.

What is your worst digital habit?

See above. That, and wanting the latest device that I don’t have and probably wouldn’t understand if I did.

iPhone/Blackberry/Android. Which side are you on?

BlackBerry. I’m on my seventh and every time one breaks I vow never to get another. But then, everyone I know hates their iPhone/Android, so what’s the point?

Are you into social networking? (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook etc)

Facebook, but friends tend to have to text me to ask why I haven’t responded to something that was posted two months earlier.

Who do you recommend to follow on Twitter?

Tried it once and now get daily updates from Joey Barton. Quite.

What is your favourite app?

I still get terribly excited about my QR scanner.

What is your preferred means of communication? (eg. Email, phone, face to face, text etc)

Whatever is the most time- and cost-efficient. Sounds a bit pompous but there are a lot of people in the construction industry who seem to love just bringing together 10 people of various disciplines into a room to sit there for a few hours in a meeting and leave without achieving anything apart from a nice bill for the client. Horses for courses.

What did you last buy online?

Lots of Christmas presents for my beloved other half. What else?

PC or Mac?

PC. I almost went for a Mac last time but when the “genius” in the Apple Store – who looked about 12 – came bearing down on me, I bottled out and phoned Dell.

Guilty pleasures: Most played tunes from iTunes/Spotify?

I still love William Shatner doing “Common People”. Jarvis eat your heart out.
