Balfour Beatty has been selected as preferred bidder for a £293m contract to build and manage 4,761 new homes for the United States Air Force.

The contractor said Balfour Beatty has been selected as ‘Highest Ranked Offeror’ for the 50-year project to build and manage homes at six air force bases.

Balfour Beatty Construction US will build the new homes at bases in North Dakota, South Dakota, Idaho and New Mexico by 2018, increasing the Group’s military housing footprint to 53 military installations in 25 states.
