Sika flooring

Flooring

Sika contributed its flooring solutions to the refurbishment of the Ferrari Garage in Greater Manchester. Involved in the repair and maintenance of some of the world’s most expensive cars, the workshop floor needed to be hard-wearing and non-slip while offering a smooth finish. Sikafloor® 161 primer was applied to the whole floor, and when cured, Sikafloor®-263 SL was installed to a thickness of 2mm. According to the company this system offers chemical and mechanical resistance for heavy-wearing concrete screeds suitable for garages and loading ramps. A high-gloss finish was required for the traction provision needed for rear wheel drive cars such as Ferraris. The light grey finish was supplied by Sikafloor®-264, a two-part epoxy roller and seal coat.
