Light in Art UK is launching a stained-glass light fitting (pictured, right) at the May Design Series (MDS). Called Shimale Peleg, the fitting is claimed to create a unique fusion between light and art inspired by the natural world. “We believe we have something completely unique that will strongly appeal to all those customers who want a beautiful fitting that will light and transform their home,” says Yael Shahar, director of Light in Art UK.

Art deco bathrooms

Brassware manufacturer Perrin & Rowe has launched the Deco Bathroom Collection, an art deco inspired range characterised by bold geometric shapes and lavish ornamentation. The company is also launching a 3-in-1 hot water tap that dispenses hot, cold and filtered hot water at 98°C from the one tap (pictured, below).

Modular bathroom furniture

Eco Bathrooms, part of the JJO Group, is previewing its range of modular bathroom furniture at MDS. The range, which was inspired by Italian furniture designs, includes a handless furniture collection in a textured granite effect with a coordinated top (pictured, left). It will be released in late summer or early autumn. To complement the units, Eco Bathrooms will also unveil new sanitaryware including sit-on vessel basins, semi-integrated basins and a WC that combines a floor-standing cistern with a variety of back-to-wall pans.

Hygienic, hard-wearing surfaces

TheSize will be presenting 10 new design-led decors in Neolith across its six collections for kitchens and bathrooms at MDS. Neolith is a sintered compact surface (pictured, below) composed of clays, feldspar, silica and natural mineral oxides manufactured by TheSize for kitchens and bathrooms. The material has minimal porosity and is claimed to be hygienic, easy to clean, stain, wear, scratch and heat resistant.
