Contractor and housebuilder Galliford Try has picked up £60m of contracts in its partnership housing division, it said today.

The contracts include being selected as preferred bidder on a £15.6m job with social landlord Affinity Sutton to build 80 homes at the 765 Finchley Road project in north London, and reaching the same status on a £15.5m contract with Kitewood Estates and Gallions Housing to build 137 homes in Blackwall Lane, East London.

It has also been named preferred bidder on three smaller contracts, with Staffordshire county council, developer MacDonald Egan and North East Derbyshire council.

Galliford’s Partnerships division builds housing for social landlords and councils using a variety of different business models, and is separate from its private homes for sale business, Linden Homes.

Galliford Try chief executive Greg Fitzgerald commented: “Our Partnerships business continues to be a leading contractor of choice for registered providers and these new projects are testament to the success of our business model. We look forward to working with our partners to further improve levels of affordable housing across the country.”
