Focus Housing street warden Simeon Clarke (left) and Mahdi Abdi, a Somalian refugee, attended a community cohesion day organised by the housing association in Birmingham on Tuesday.

The event aimed to bring together the community to discuss local issues and to encourage a greater acceptance of refugees. The day was coordinated by 13 Focus wardens and was supported

by Birmingham council and the Belgrave Road police station.
