NES to give £2,500 to group of assessors or home inspectors that makes the best case for support

National Energy Services (NES), the company that owns and operates the UK's largest accreditation scheme for energy assessors and home inspectors, is launching a grant to help a local assessor community group.

Worth up to £2,500, the new grant can be applied for by local or national groups in England and Wales. The winning applicant may spend the cash on marketing, networking or other initiatives to benefit energy assessors (domestic or commercial) or home inspectors.

Brian Scannell, managing director of NES, said: “We know that it is an incredibly tough market for many energy assessors, particularly new entrants - who may be self-employed for the first time in their lives. Professional networking, online discussion forums and local support groups are a vital lifeline to share knowledge and experiences, swap notes and get advice and moral support.”

The deadline for grant applications is Monday 13 October. Following a judging process by a panel of NES and independent experts, £2,500 will be given to the group that makes the most compelling case for support.
