Architect Building Design Partnership has launched an attack against fellow defendant FB Ellmer in the legal row over the Wimbledon media centre
In a writ filed at the High Court in March, the All England Lawn Tennis Club accused BDP and subcontractor Ellmer of “poor workmanship” and “defective design”.
But BDP has now accused the subcontractor of “defective workmanship” and alleges that it failed to select the appropriate timber or install weather seals. It adds that if it is found liable, it will claim a contribution from Ellmer.
Ellmer has denied it was in breach of contract for its workmanship, and supports the All England Club’s claim against the architect.
