Spoof footage of one of Berlin's most iconic buildings proves an online hit

Footage of the 1,200ft Berlin TV tower blasting off into space has captured the imagination of viewers of video-sharing websites.

The animation is referred to by its creator, Fabian Tischer, as "NASA's strange theft of famous Berlin landmark" and shows smoke billowing over the city as the rocket-like building rises into the sky.
