Royal Docks job will include 137 homes for the private rented sector

Bouygues has been appointed by the Greater London Authority (GLA) to build a 200-home scheme in the Royal Docks area of east London.

Bouygues, working in consortium with the London Pensions Fund Authority and developer Grainger, will build the scheme at Pontoon Dock.

It comprises 200 homes, of which 137 will be in the private rented sector, 42 will be for affordable rent and 31 will be for shared ownership, asw ell as 11,000 sq ft of non-residential space.

The 0.69 hectare site is currently a car park and coach stand.

The GLA also confirmed it has appointed a Thames Valley Housing and Galliford Try joint venture to build a 1,100-home scheme at nearby Silvertown Way.
