ChapmanBDSP has said it expects to break the £20m revenue barrier at the end of the current financial year, three years after it was formed.
Since Chapman Bathhurst’s merger with BDSP in 2012, the building services and environmental engineering consultancy has doubled its turnover while staff numbers have topped 200.
The enlarged company recorded a turnover of £16.2m in its last set of full year results to September 2015 with 162 permanent staff. The firm is working on the Battersea Power Station redevelopment and with British Land on its redevelopment of 100 Liverpool Street in the City of London, where it is providing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, and environmental consultancy services.
ChapmanBDSP has also developed its overseas presence with a 20-strong team now operating in the Middle East, which has helped the firm pick up work on projects such as the Dubai World Central Hilton.
Ray Upjohn, chief executive of ChapmanBDSP, said: “Winning contracts like Battersea and 100 Liverpool Street along with major projects overseas has led to significant growth. We’re averaging a 20-25% increase in revenue year-on-year.
“We believe this may continue but our core objective is to ensure delivery remains strong on every project and that our people can continue to focus on client relationships and robust, efficient design.”
