Seven firms have won places on a £5m four-year consultancy framework on Network Rail’s £6.5bn Thameslink programme.

Sweett Group, Turner & Townsend and Mott McDonald have been appointed on the commercial management and estimating services lot, while Gleeds, Mace and Lend Lease have won the places on the single commercial services lot. Faithful & Gould has won a place on the estimating services part of the framework.

The consultants will provide support for schemes including the £400m overhaul of London Bridge station (pictured) and the remodelling of operational infrastructure between London Bridge, Waterloo East, Blackfriars Junction, New Cross, New Cross Gate and South Bermondsey station.

The Thameslink programme has upgraded stations and railway infrastructure on the main line linking Brighton with Bedford through London and enabled the intoduction of 12-car trains on most services.
