Firm appointed project and cost manager on £146m project

Edmond Shipway has been appointed project manager, cost consultant and M&E engineer on Ireland’s first Center Parcs village, a €200m (£146m) resort planned for County Longford.

The development will include up to 500 lodges and more than 100 indoor and outdoor activities including a spa, restaurants and cafés and a swimming complex featuring water rides.

The Center Parcs is expected to open in 2019, subject to planning permission, and will create approximately 750 jobs during construction.
