Eleven contractors have been selected for the medium value lot of the North West Construction Hub framework, which could award work of up to £1bn across the region.

The framework covers projects between £2m and £9m for councils and other public bodies across Cumbria, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside.

The winning firms are: BAM, Conlon, Galliford Try, ISG, Keepmoat, Kier, Laing O’Rourke, Seddon, Vinci, Wates and Willmott Dixon.

The procurement body expects to award between £250m and £1bn through the framework over the next three years, with an option to extend for a further year.

The framework, which is managed by Manchester council, has been divided into 10 sub-regional lots covering two main categories - build-only and design-and-build. There are two further categories for larger projects.

Wates, ISG and Willmott Dixon have won places on all 12 lots.
