Contractor Galliford Try has won two near £40m building jobs including the construction of council offices for Northamptonshire County Council.

The contractor will build the new 17,600 sq m headquarters for the council and a cafe in a regeneration area on the south side of Northampton, in a contract worth £38m.

It has also won a £39m job to build a new 14,000 sq m office building in Sutton, Surrey, for offshore engineering company Subsea 7.

Galliford Try executive chairman Greg Fitzgerald said he was “delighted” to win the jobs. “We have a strong reputation in the office sector and we look forward to providing these two clients with the first class facilities they require,” he said.
