Galliford Try has won the £66m contract to build HSBC’s new Birmingham office

Galliford Try has won a £66m scheme to construct a Birmingham headquarters for HSBC’s UK retail bank.

The scheme at 2 Arena Central forms a key part of Miller Developments and Pro Vinci’s wider Arena Central mixed-use development adjacent to the city’s Centenary Square.

Galliford Try’s contract covers construction of the 210,000 sq ft office building, external public realm works to create an ‘urban meadow’ and a public square at Bank Court.

Greg Fitzgerald, executive chairman of Galliford Try, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen to construct such a prestigious development in this key regeneration area for the city of Birmingham.”
