Scheme being developed by Bouygues’ development arm

HKR Architects has won planning for a new office development in Bristol’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone.

Located on Avon Street, the building, which has been called the Anvil, will provide over 83,000 sq ft of grade A office accommodation over seven floors close to the city’s Temple Meads station.

HKR’s design has focused on staff wellbeing and includes an entrance within a landscaped pocket park with seating and cycle storage, and landscaped roof terraces on the top two floors offering panoramic views of the city skyline.

HKR director Geoff Brocklehurst said: “The building has been designed with light open plan floor plates to offer maximum flexibility, which has been proven to enhance staff health and productivity.”

The scheme is being developed by Linkcity, the property arm of Bouygues and which was previously known as Bouygues Development.
