Firm will target new international markets in JV with Robert Derector Associates

UK consultant Hurleypalmerflatt has entered a joint venture with New York-based Robert Derector Associates, in a move designed to enable both firms to target new international markets.

The two building engineering consultants, which have a combined turnover of over £40m, hope the tie-up will allow them to access work in the other’s respective markets. Together the firms are active in more than 20 countries.

Hurleypalmerflatt is predominantly based in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, whereas Robert Derector carries out most of its work in the US.

The majority of the companies’ work is in providing engineering solutions to complex data centres, trading floors and operational control centres.

Paul Flatt, group chairman of Hurleypalmerflatt, said the alliance was a “logical step”.
