A visitor photographs a model of Superman at a preview for The Art of the Brick: DC Super Heroes Lego exhibition, on Tuesday.

Below, a model of the cover of Action Comics No. 1, featuring the character’s debut.

The display, on London’s South Bank, has over 120 works, using more than 2 million Lego bricks, and also features the comic companies’ other creations, including Batman and Wonder Woman. It runs until 4 September.
