The world’s longest cross-sea bridge has been completed

Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge

This shows the main structure of the world’s longest cross-sea bridge, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, while under construction.

It connects the three cities named on the Pearl River Delta in China. The link is 42km long and the longest stretch measures 29.6km.

Works formally began on 15 December 2009 from the Chinese mainland side, and 2011 from the Hong Kong side. The bridge completed last Friday, 7 July.
