Contractor ISG has been appointed to two major data centre contracts totalling £140m.

The awards include a £120m job in the Nordic region, ISG’s third data centre job in that region.

The second contract win is for a £20m upgrade of two existing data centre for financial services companies in the UK.

ISG said of the other schemes in the same region that the first was handed over in February, and the second will be complete in the summer.

Data centres are a major target market for ISG and it has continued to win work in the sector despite problems with a job worth over £100m for Santander in Leicestershir,e which it stopped work on in February last year before it was finished and when it was eight months behind schedule.

David Lawther, ISG chief executive, said: “We are delighted to continue to be a key data centre delivery partner, as we grow both in scale and resource to service this highly specialised sector.”
