Bouygues UK has appointed a former Willmott Dixon and ISG boss as the managing director of its Thomas Vale division.

Craig Tatton will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Thomas Vale business and report to chair of Bouygues UK Madani Sow.

Tatton has previous held senior management positions at Willmott Dixon, where he was managing director of the firm’s housing division; ISG, where he was managing director; and Miller Group, where he was director of major projects.

Tatton replaces Gary Mail who was appointed at managing director in September 2013 but who the firm said had “recently advised the management team that he will be leaving Thomas Vale to pursue some new challenges”.

Sow said: “His leadership qualities, extensive industry knowledge and proven business plan delivery, will continue to enhance the performance of Thomas Vale and help us to maintain our market-leading position.”

Tatton added: “My primary focus over the coming months is to enhance our service offering to our clients; focusing on the leadership, skills and experience of the Thomas Vale teams to drive business growth and re-position Thomas Vale at the forefront of industry leaders.”

Bouygues bought Thomas Vale in April 2012.
