A Lend Lease joint venture has submitted plans for a £150m 195-home scheme in York city centre.

The scheme comprises the second phase of the Hungate development, situated within York’s city walls next to the River Foss, comprising of one, two and three bedroom apartments.

The joint venture, Hungate Regeneration Ltd, also includes Evans Property Group.

Richard Cook, Lend Lease’s head of residential, said: “We are delighted to have the planning application submitted for these first-class homes in the historic town of York.

“We have been working closely with City of York Council throughout the planning process and have incorporated feedback from the public and other civic bodies including York Archaeological Trust following consultation in order to deliver homes for residents in York which they can be proud of.”

“Their central location in the heart of the city with access to restaurants, retail and transport makes them an ideal investment and we are excited to be able to build them for home-buyers.”
