Engineer lands job on exotic forest-themed 750-room hotel

Mott MacDonald has been appointed engineer on a HK$4.2bn (£325m) exotic forest-themed hotel in Disneyland Hong Kong.

The consultant will provide civil, structural and building services engineering services on the 750-room hotel, which is Disneyland Hong Kong’s third hotel.

The hotel will include three restaraunts and a swimming pool. The exotic forest-theme will contrast with the two existing hotels, which are Hollywood and Victorian themed.

The project is being developed to meet growing visitor numbers to the resort, with numbers swelling to 7.4 million in 2012.

The project is due to be completed in 2016.
