Olympic Delivery Authority claims it is beating its target to reclaim 90% of demolition material on site

The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has said it is beating its sustainability target for clearing and cleaning the Olympic Park.

As part of its green drive, it announced it is beating the target to reclaim 90% of demolition material for recycling or reuse.

Dan Epstein, head of sustainable development and regeneration, said: “This is unprecedented for a project of this size and scale. Much of these materials will then be integrated into the designs of the new venues and parkland.”

The ODA is also creating a small nature reserve near the northern perimeter of the Olympic Park.
