Sheppard Robson scheme set to start on site later this year

Sheppard Robson has submitted plans for a £63.5 million learning campus in Scotland that will include a secondary school along with a primary school and nursery.

The Knockroon Learning and Enterprise Campus will run across 23,000 sq m and will cater for 2,500 pupils as well as 300 staff.

It will also include an 80-place supported learning centre and 30 additional places for students with special educational requirements. The largest part of the scheme will be the 1,633 pupil secondary school.

Being carried out for East Ayrshire council, the scheme, which is aimed at children from Cumnock and neighbouring Auchinleck, is expected to start on site this summer and be completed in time for start of the 2019 school year.
