Public sector framework provider Scape Group is launching a new £350m consultancy framework which it says will offer the broadest range of consultancy services available on a framework.

The four-year Built Environment Consultancy Services (BECS) framework will offer services including project management, quantity surveying, building surveying, commercial surveying, architecture and design services, civil and structural engineering, electrical and mechanical engineering, health and safety, highways consultancy and engineering services and strategic asset management.

The public sector-owned built environment specialist has issued a prior information notice (PIN) to the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).

Scape, which began focusing on contractor frameworks and has subsequently expanded into consultancies, plans to offer a single point of contact to its public sector clients through the framework, but with the opportunity to access tiers of the local supply chain directly beneath this.

Mark Robinson, chief executive Scape Group, said: “The frameworks we offer to our 568 public sector clients must evolve in response to the economic environment.”

“Through the new BECS framework it is our hope to support the public sector by plugging the gaps where crucial expertise is lacking and by doing this with one framework partner we hope to simplify access to our services, allowing our clients to operate as efficiently as possible.”

“The BECS framework provides the best of both worlds; that is the security of a highly adept national provider, united with a local supply chain network to facilitate access to local companies, thus maximising local spend.”

The group will also hold two market awareness events – in Leeds in September and London in October - for interested organisations.

Scape has helped deliver over 2,000 public sector projects in the last four years and has another 1,000 currently in progress.
