Revenue and profits both leap

Turnover and profit at Sheppard Robson were both up last year, helping send staff numbers up by a fifth.

Revenue was up a quarter to £26.6m while pre-tax profit climbed 15% to £5.3m in the year to March 2016.

Sheppard Robson, which is behind the £185m New Victoria development in Manchester (pictured), has offices in London, Glasgow and Manchester as well as an overseas outpost in Abu Dhabi.

To cope with the growing workloads, the firm added more staff to its payroll increasing numbers from 306 to 372 sending its wages bill up 27% to £13.4n.

The firm is an LLP with the pay packet of the highest paid employee, who is not named, shooting up from £719,000 to £803,000.
