Partners Group plans to start construction of Fenchurch Street scheme early next year

80 Fenchurch Street

Partners Group are set to develop a £200m 245,000 ft2 tower at 80 Fenchurch Street.

Swiss-based Partners bought the site near Aldgate station earlier this year for £55m and has teamed up with Marick Real Estate to deliver the 14-storey office block.

The new building will be a 14-storey, 245’000 square foot office building offering Grade A office space with design features including a series of tiered roof gardens.

Stuart Keith, Vice President, Private Real Estate, Partners Group, states: “The recent rebound in the UK economy has created a significant supply-demand imbalance in the City of London in terms of Grade A office space, with vacancy levels close to historic lows and rents steadily climbing. 80 Fenchurch will be perfectly placed in terms of location, timing and quality of build to capitalize on this attractive market opportunity.”

Designed by architects TP Bennett, the office block at 80 Fenchurch St already has planning consent, with work expected to start in early 2016, with the project complete in the first quarter of 2018.
