Conservative shadow ministers meet construction trade bodies today to discuss delivery and legacy issues

Conservative shadow ministers are meeting key industry figures today to discuss delivery and legacy issues for the 2012 Olympics.

Shadow construction minister Mark Prisk and shadow Olympics minister Hugh Robertson will meet representatives from trade bodies including the Construction Confederation, the RIBA and the Civil Engineering Contractors Association at a summit in central London.

Mark Prisk said: “We are keen to see the Olympics succeed. A successful and timely programme is vital. Conservatives want to learn from the industry about the most effective way forward and we will press the government to ensure they adopt best practice.”
