Scheme in Rotherham set to complete next autumn

Willmott Dixon has picked up a £7m contract to build education and training provider RNN Group a new facility in Rotherham.

The new 3,300sq m University Centre Rotherham will be built in the South Yorkshire town’s centre near the main Rotherham College campus.

It will provide specialist teaching, study and exhibition spaces. In addition the building will house a library and café.

John Connolly, chief executive of RNN Group, which is the parent company for Rotherham College and the University Centre Rotherham, said work on the scheme would start on site this summer with completion expected in autumn next year.

It is the latest higher education project win for Willmott Dixon, which recently announced it had been chosen to build Anglia Ruskin’s new School of Medicine at its Chelmsford campus in Essex, having recently completed the London Campus for Coventry University in Dagenham.
