Personality of the year

Even if he hadn’t contributed so much to the building industry over the past 40 years as managing director – since 1975 – and then chairman – since January this year – of construction group John Doyle, Stef would have won this award. Even if he hadn’t backed and then helped protect the Constructionarium elite training centre in Norwich for construction students, or chaired concrete frame association Construct and contributed to various other bodies such as the Movement for Innovation and the construction division of RDA Yorkshire Forward, Stef would still have won this award. Okay, well perhaps all of that helped a little, but the real reason for this award is that in a big industry Stef is an even bigger personality. Surely there can’t be any better endorsement than that?
