The RIBA President’s Medals Student Awards are considered the most prestigious and long-lasting award in architectural education in the world.

First awarded in 1836 as the RIBA Silver Medal for an architectural essay, this is the RIBA’s longest-living award and it precedes the Royal Gold Medal (established in 1848 to reward the work of an architect). The awards categories include the Bronze Medal for Part 1, the Silver Medal for Part 2 and the Dissertation Medal.

These awards are aimed at promoting excellence in the study of architecture, rewarding talent, and encouraging architectural debate worldwide. All nominated projects can be viewed online here.

This is an exhibition of selected student work from 300 schools of architecture in over 60 countries invited to nominate entries for the RIBA President’s Medals. The exhibition will be on display in London for two months before touring the UK and internationally during 2013.

Venue: Gallery Two and the Lutyens Room, RIBA, 66 Portland Place, London W1B 1AD
