    Here's Bill's reply

James. Good question! We did not know what air pressure test results we were going to achieve. Therefore we designed out the potential problem where we could. Sockets and switches were placed on internal walls, cables within the intermediate floor void and (although we didn't need to in the end) in a service void below the OSB board airtightness first floor ceiling. We also used floor concealed sockets where needed, arguing that there were enough internal wall sockets at the correct height to satisfy Building Control concerns. However, we did have to run some wiring within the browning plaster on external walls. Here we used the normal cheap plastic capping type conduit and paid attention to sealing the 'ends' with Pro Clima Orcon mastic.
When testing with a smoke gun under pressure test conditions there was some leakage, but not dramatic. As we well over achieved our aim of 0.6 air changes, I think, in retrospect, we could have used the external walls more.
Since the build Pro Clima have brought out another product called the Instaa-box. Used with Orcon I think this would be a good insurance for concealed metal back boxes to be used more freely.

It looks like you will internally insulate the walls, what will you insulate with and how will you deal with the junctions where the middle floor meets the external walls?
