Damage from high winds includes to the Epsom Downs racecourse

High winds damaged construction projects and buildings up and down the country this week. Six panels on the roof of the Epsom Downs racecourse Duchess stand in Surrey, which was completed by Willmott Dixon in 2009, were blown off on Tuesday leaving insulation scattered across the site. The area was evacuated but roofing contractor Emprose was on site fixing the damage the next day with an investigation now under way.
