Consultant strengthens its Hong Kong and China management team to target further expansion

Sweett Group has appointed new managing directors to its Hong Kong and China businesses to target further expansion in the region.

Alan Lam becomes managing director of the China division, while SC Tse becomes managing director of Hong Kong.

The two men are charged with helping the consultant double the size of its combined Asia and Australasia division from a turnover of £25m to £40m within three years.

Alan Lam joined Sweett in 1989 and will head up the consultant’s 430-strong China business. He has worked with a range of high profile multinational clients including Nike and Tesco.

SC Tse has worked at Sweett since 1995 and will manage the firm’s 160-strong Hong Kong office. Tse will help Sweett deliver major projects, including the West Kowloon Terminus transport hub.

Kim Berry, managing director of Sweett’s Asia Pacific region, said: “Today’s appointments are a significant step in the strengthening of our Asia Pacific management team.

“SC’s and Alan’s extensive regional expertise and knowledge are second to none and will be an important success factor as we continue to expand our service offering and presence across mainland China, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.”
