Lets give this some context with a thumbnail sketch. There are ~23,000 schools and colleges in the current estate. A large secondary school is around 15,000sqm and PSBP2 schools were built for around £1,500/sqm - about £23M.

£1Bn/10 years = £100M - so call it 4 large secondaries, rebuilt.

And then consider that pledges from this Government on this type of spending have resulted in actual spending of between 0 and 25% of the original.
