The Innovaré Systems MD on Westlife, PCs being better than Macs and why he spends a lot of his time looking at cartoon trains

Peter Blunt

What is your favourite website?

Currently a close run thing between the BBC Sport website and www.thomasandfriends.co.uk that extols the virtues of all things Thomas the Tank Engine – thanks to my three year old son.

What is your worst digital habit?

Colleagues might say turning my emails into the next edition of War & Peace.

iPhone/Blackberry/Android. Which side are you on?

Definitely iPhone. I’m not a huge fan of my BlackBerry, especially the functionality.

Are you into social networking? (Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook etc)?

I mainly use LinkedIn and I’m the guardian and author of Innovaré’s Twitter account. I don’t have a Facebook account though as my wife manages to adequately track and report on my every move outside work via her account.

What is your preferred means of communication?  (eg. Email, phone, face to face, text etc)

I do prefer face to face conversations, although email is the most convenient; especially when I wake up at the crack of dawn – no one wants a meeting at 4.30am!

What is your favourite app?

Chuggington – my three year old son loves trains. You have to “hit” the trains as they pop out of a number of tunnels, apparently.

What did you last buy online?

A weekend to Berlin.

PC or Mac?

Definitely PC. Macs look great, but I’ve lost the will to live trying to learn to use one properly.

Guilty pleasures: Most played tunes from iTunes/Spotify?

Most of my iPod has been taken over by nursery rhymes but there’s always space for a bit of Westlife’s “Flying Without Wings”.
