For the director of this architecture practice, Linkedin and Twitter are useful tools for staying up-to-date while you can’t beat face to face communication for explaining design

What is your favourite website?

www.guardian.co.uk

A very clear and concise website that gives you all of the information you need instantly.

What is your worst digital habit?

Trying to keep on top of my email inbox which leads to checking it day and night - much to the annoyance of my very tolerant wife.

iPhone/Blackberry/Android. Which side are you on?

I’m an iPhone user. Its layout, style and usability are second to none.

Are you into social networking? (Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook etc)

I use Linkedin and Twitter to understand what people or companies are up to, but also to keep track of changes in legislation, opinions and generally to keep up with this ever-changing world.

Are you on Twitter? If so who do you recommend to follow?

Yes, I am an avid user of twitter. My recommendation would be to follow:
@UKTI, @Dezeen, @tubebuddy, @TheEconomist, @Trendhunter and @designmilk

What is your favourite app?

Flipboard is brilliant. It brings together all of your social media and your favourite websites to one place and appears as your own magazine format. It’s addictive!

What is your preferred means of communication? (eg. Email, phone, face to face, text etc)

Face to face is the most important method of communication when explaining design, details and securing business but email is great for day to day exchange of information and just keeping in touch.

What did you last buy online?

A ‘jumperoo’ baby bouncer for our seven-month-old daughter. The best investment as it has kept her occupied while improving balance and coordination; what more can you ask for!

PC or Mac?

While I use a PC for work I am a Mac fan. The LED screen with integral hard drive makes the iMac a must have and it looks great and is easily operated.

Guilty pleasures: Most played tunes from iTunes/Spotify?

I have an eclectic taste in music and most played tunes include Radio One Live Lounge Sessions, Adele - Chasing Pavements, Nora Jones - Come Away With Me and Mark Ronson - Valerie.
