I read with interest your article on 15 July regarding the costs for the Olympics (page 24). Can you please tell me, did you make a mistake?

Is the real cost for a temporary beach volleyball arena on Horse Guard’s Parade £73m? Sometimes when we look at budget figures for jobs I know we think of a number and double it but really I’m astounded by this cost! Isn’t everyone else?
