It seems to me that only Brian Berry can see further than the end of his nose (Government plans to stop developers building homes on gardens, 9 June, Building.co.uk)

Garden grabbing will be used as an argument against lots of perfectly sustainable urban and suburban opportunities. New homes will soon not be allowed anywhere, so complex is the present ridiculous planning system, overburdened as it is with requirements, amendments, supplements and delays galore. If 2 million new homes are needed, there has to be somewhere agreed to put them!
