A mashup is a web resource that combines information and web services from two or more sources
The most commonly found mashups normally use Google Maps with data to place information on a map (sometimes referred to as a geo-mashup). One example is Benedict O’Neill’s BBC news map, which maps BBC news in the UK as it happens (dev.benedictoneill.com/bbc).
