DIY retailer in £80k row over a service charge on a property in Manchester

B&Q is in a legal row over premises in Manchester.

Landlord Manchester Fort Shopping Park General Partner is taking the DIY retailer to the High Court over accusations that it has fallen into arrears with service charge on its premises in Cheetham Hill.

Manchester Fort is suing for arrears of £83,105.65 and is also seeking interest running at £17.14 a day.

B&Q took a 20 year lease of the property in 2004, but has failed to pay services charges due between June 2006 and July 2007, according to a High Court writ.
