Scheme in Tower Hamlets runs across 15 lots

Tower Hamlets council has launched a 10-year consultancy framework worth £550m.

The council says the framework will be broken down in to 15 lots and cover a wide range of consultancy services, primarily focussed on the housing, education, regeneration and general construction sectors. Firms have until 17 August to send in bids.

The framework follows a £6.8bn framework for contractors launched by Tower Hamlets last week.

It will be a DPS framework, meaning suppliers will be able to join the framework at any time over the next decade.

It also means that contracts cannot be awarded directly, with jobs only awarded via mini-competitions according to the contract notice.

Local authorities throughout the UK will be able to use the framework but the council expects the majority of work will be undertaken in the east London borough.

Last week it launched a £6.8bn framework for contractors which is also due to run for 10 years.

The framework spans four sectors and includes a £2.9bn lot for housing, with three other lots for education, regeneration and general construction worth £1.8bn each.
