The British Security Industry Association has notched up its 500th member, with a 66 per cent rise in membership during the last two years.
The BSIA celebrated the occasion with a luncheon in honour of the 500th and 501st members, Oxfordshire-based CCTV company Touchstone Electronics and Scottish alarm company, Precision Alarms.

Jorgen Philip-Sorensen CBE, founder member and chairman of Group 4 Falck A/S, presented them with their membership certificates at the luncheon at the Dormy House Hotel in Broadway, Worcestershire.

BSIA chief executive David Dickinson said: "We are delighted to have reached the 500 mark. The growth in membership is despite the rigorous entry requirements we have in place and the trend for takeovers and mergers within the industry.

"This indicates that the BSIA is listening and reacting to the wants and needs of its members."
