The project sponsor must be appropriately resourced, supported and trained to ensure the business case for an investment is fully realised

Clients need to govern their investment projects. This is both an obligation under modern accounting requirements and a strategic necessity to ensure that the asset the client thought they were getting is the asset they actually get. There are many aspects to the governance of the interface between the client organization and the project organisation that is delivering the new asset.
