Leica has launched the Disto D8 laser distance measuring device, equipped with a digital Pointfinder, high-resolution 2.4-inch colour display, 360° tilt sensor and Bluetooth technology

The in-built tilt sensor does more than determine angles. The D8 is able to quickly determine horizontal distances over obstructions, even though it has no reflective points. Roof slopes and facade areas can be safely and rapidly measured. From the ground, the D8 is digitally capable of simple levelling tasks.

The Pointfinder with 4x zoom can focus on far-off objects in bright conditions.
