Glass Age Advertisement Manager Dave Broxton has left to pursue other interests within the glass and window market. His successor is Gemma Coles, who has a degree in Human Geography and is learning to play golf, so she is keen to improve her handicap (or rather, get one) in the numerous industry golf days in the coming months. Gemma has worked in the Builder Group for 4 years on the Building services publications as part of the award winning sales team of 2003/4.

Dave, meanwhile, has set up on his own company DJB Marketing and says: ‘The glass and fenestration markets have traditionally featured entrepreneurial, sales led companies. Whilst the need for a structured approach to advertising, PR and marketing is often recognised, the management team may not have the necessary experience or time to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy. In the case of some companies, the size of the business or the level of marketing activity may not justify a full-time marketing appointment.

It is in such cases that a suitably qualified freelance marketer can provide a cost effective solution.

As DJB Marketing, I am offering a wide range of marketing services, tailored to the individual needs of the company for an all-inclusive flat monthly fee. I am already advising some glazing industry blue chips as well some smaller companies who are seeking a higher profile. The UK glass and fenestration industry is one of the most exciting and dynamic markets in which to operate and though I am leaving Glass Age, I am delighted to be remaining involved in the business through my clients.’
